Love and Muddy Puddles

Book I of the Coco and Charlie Franks series

Thirteen year old fashionista Coco Franks has finally made it into the popular group at school and is planning to have the most amazing year ever. But then her dad decides to go all eco-feral-greenie-tree-change and moves the whole family to a farm out the back of nowhere so they can 'bond'.

With social death looming and more than a few pairs of ballet flats ruined by mud, Coco's plan is to get herself back to Sydney and her clique at any cost. But it will take an Akubra-hat-and-flanny-shirt-wearing boy called James and a nervous horse called Cupcake to show her who her real friends are.

This book is laugh-out-loud funny as Coco Franks goes from one of the “in” girls with perfect hair and clothes to a girl who has to move with her family to homestead while living in a shack. She soon discovers that her perfect clothes aren’t practical, but refuses to give up her style and dream of returning to her school where she can be perfect and popular once more. We keep rooting for Coco to embrace her new life and get a new attitude, but this girl is tough to crack! No more spoilers, but be assured that Coco does realize who she is, and there is a cute love interest that will keep you wanting more.
