Wisdom from the young

After a short but fierce interchange between myself and my husband this morning, I was chastised gently by our daughter.

"No offence Mum, but when grownups get married and argue, they always manage to break their wedding promises."

"We didn't promise not to argue, sweetie," I said.

"Well, I've heard the word 'comfort' for each other. You're supposed to comfort each other and arguing is not comforting."

I was moved to silence and went to apologise to my husband.
