"Things that are clear in the author’s mind are not always clear to the reader and I found Cecily pinpointed some instances where this was the case. Her questions asking for clarification were helpful. I felt that she understood ‘where I am coming from’ and what I was trying to achieve and edited with sympathy to that. While making suggestions about improvements she did not seek to alter either the essential content or the mood of what I had written. Overall, I found working with Cecily a positive experience; I found her easy to talk to and encouraging. Also, she worked to the fairly tight timetable I had set."
