My Invisible books have had a facelift

I'm so happy about these lovely new covers for my Invisible series of novels.

I wrote the first book in this series in 2013, which might as well be a century in children's literature. I loved the covers when they were done, but I'd been thinking for a little while that maybe they were looking a little dated. Sales have also been slow over the past couple of years, and I asked myself if perhaps the artwork was the reason. (After all, we do judge a book by its blah blah blah…)

What to do? I tried a new version myself last year, but couldn't get it right. (Who am I kidding? I'm not an artist.) Then a lovely graphic artist/reader did a mock-up of an idea for the first one of the series, and while it was great, it didn't quite have the mood I wanted.

I felt stuck. I knew they needed the right covers: I just didn’t know how to go about getting them.

So I prayed. (As I do.)

That was when a writer friend of mine told me about Emma Russell, an artist she found on Instagram. Emma's artwork was SO gorgeous and EXACTLY what I wanted... AND she did commissions. I immediately got in touch with her, we talked about who Jazmine was, and pretty soon, she had these three lovely drawings for me.

[For more on Emma, and how to follow her on Instagram, check out our interview on my blog. You will be amazed by her gorgeous portraits… I think she’s the bomb.]

I’m excited to welcome a new iteration of Jazmine and her friends into the world. I think these lovely covers will give the stories a new lease of life, and hopefully, a whole new audience.

If you’ve never read them, why not get a copy today? Use the links below to go straight to Amazon, or get paperbacks here. The new Invisible series is also on Kobo, Apple Books and B&N. You can also order them in at your local bookshop.
